CBN has issued our substantial and detailed analysis of the Final Environmental Impact Statement of the proposed Atlantic Yards development.

From the Submission Statement:

"Based on the professional review of our team of expert consultants, the Council of Brooklyn Neighborhoods concluded that the General Project Plan and Final Environmental Impact Statement are insufficient in both process and substance...it is the considered opinion of the Council of Brooklyn Neighborhoods, Inc. that the Final Environmental Impact Statement released for the proposed Atlantic Yards Land Use Improvement and Civic Project is inadequate as an assessment of both the benefits and adverse impacts of the proposed project. It cannot be used as a reliable guide for decision making. Substantial supplements or an entirely new EIS should be required before proceeding."
